DAPPLE + WAVER OPENS AT NEW HOME IN YG RIVERSIDE VILLAGE

Popular bar Dapple + Waver has opened its doors at its new location at YG Riverside Village in Yeerongpilly Green nearly two years after it was forced to close following devastating floods at Toombul Shopping Centre.

Dapple + Waver’s opening comes after Woolworths, BWS and Priceline Pharmacy became the first stores to open earlier this year at Brisbane’s newest shopping precinct, YG Riverside Village.

They join a line-up of tenants open for business including Goodlife Health Clubs, One in a Million Coffee, Mistaboo Sushi Bar, Lux Nail Bar, Massage Inn, YG Bakehouse, Jimmy Rods and my2020 Optometrists.

The retail precinct boasts more than 25 food, health and service specialty retailers and has been developed by Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners at the heart of the $850 million Yeerongpilly Green community.

Dapple + Waver co-owner Aidan McGarrity, who also runs the successful Beyond The Pale bar in Coorparoo, said there was a positive response to the new version of Dapple + Waver which developed a loyal following during its time at Toombul.

“We had a strong turnout on opening day with positive feedback from customers who said they love the new venue and will definitely be coming back,” Mr McGarrity said.

“We also had some patrons from Beyond The Pale who came to check it out, which was great.

“This is a neighbourhood bar and a bit more tucked away than our previous location, but we think it will become a real destination.

“There’s really nowhere for locals to go in the southwest so Dapple + Waver offers the perfect option with a real, laid back but refined offering.”

Consolidated Properties Group National Manager for Retail Leasing, Rob Clifton said it was great to see Dapple + Waver open and operating at YG Riverside Village and delivering another quality option for people going out to dine and drink.

“We’ve seen a strong, positive response since the centre opened earlier this year and with Dapple + Waver really complementing the existing retail offering,” he said.
