First Retailers open in YG Riverside Village

Woolworths, BWS and Priceline Pharmacy are the first stores to open for trade this week in Brisbane’s newest shopping precinct, YG Riverside Village.

The Yeerongpilly retail hub also boasts more than 25 food, health and service specialty retailers, which will progressively open their doors over the coming months.

Developed by Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners, YG Riverside Village sits at the heart of the $850 million Yeerongpilly Green community.

Consolidated Properties Group National Manager for Retail Leasing, Rob Clifton said the new Woolworths was a welcome addition to Brisbane’s south-western suburbs.

“It’s fantastic to have the opportunity to build a shopping centre from the ground up, and to work with major retailers like Woolworths to deliver a store that has been designed to meet the growing community’s needs,” he said.

“Yeerongpilly residents have been eagerly waiting for Woolworths to move into the neighbourhood, giving access to daily groceries needs.

“It’s particularly exciting to have a full-line, brand new store, that has been carefully created to enhance the customer experience.”

Mr Clifton said YG Riverside Village was more than 85 per cent leased, with Goodlife Health Clubs, Dapple+_Waver kitchen and bar and Jimmy Rods barber among the specialty retailers due to open in the coming months.
