Kaisercraft Comes To Wilsonton Shopping Centre

Fast-growing arts and crafts brand Kaisercraft is preparing to double its footprint in Toowoomba in September with a new outlet at the Wilsonton Shopping Centre.
Kaisercraft has signed a seven-year lease for a 350sq m tenancy at Wilsonton Shopping Centre, which is owned and operated by Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners.
The new outlet is due to open late next month and follows Kaisercraft opening its first store in Toowoomba at Grand Central Shopping Centre in 2019, with hundreds of shoppers queueing to be first through the doors.
Kaisercraft spokeswoman Jadranka Erceg said the new store takes its nationwide tally to 66.
Ms Erceg said the strong reception to the first outlet gave the company the confidence to press ahead with a new store after a tough few years for the retail sector.
“It’s been a big team effort to say the least,” she said.
“Our diverse product range helped us adapt and support our customers through the challenges of 2020. Our team has a positive attitude and a strong drive to make our range of lifestyle products accessible across Australia.
“We have a strong following in the area so we hope a new store to service another area of town will be well received.
“Our new store will be full of Kaisercraft’s unique range of lifestyle products, from fashion through to home, kids, beauty, craft and paper products meaning there’s something for everyone.”
Kaisercraft will hire five new staff to run the Wilsonton Shopping Centre store.
The Wilstonton store is Kaisercraft’s 10th store to open this year. The company began 20 years ago when Stephen Kaiser was asked by his wife to make some small wood products to sell in her craft store.
Mr Kaiser soon expanded to making plastic stencils and acrylic paint and before long the Kaisercraft brand was in demand among craft stores Australia wide.
Consolidated Properties Group’s National Retail Leasing Manager, Rob Clifton said Kaisercraft bolsters an impressive retail line-up at Wilsonton Shopping Centre that includes Choice Discount Variety, Motor-Rific, Room 88 and Nextra.
“We welcome Kaisercraft to the Wilsonton Shopping Centre,” Mr Clifton said.
“Since a $20 million refurbishment in 2019, which included an outdoor dining precinct and upgrades to the existing mall and centre façade, we’ve been able to add significantly to the line-up including new food outlets like Oh Sushi and O’Donnell’s Bakehouse.”
Wilsonton Shopping Centre is anchored by Coles and Woolworths and has more than 40 specialty stores.
