Karalee Shopping Village Welcomes Fitness Franchise F45

Karalee locals can achieve their New Year resolutions with fitness franchise F45 expected to open at Karalee Shopping Village in early 2021.

The Karalee studio will be owned and operated by husband and wife team Darren and Shane Lawrence, who also run the popular F45 studio at Ipswich Central, which is currently at capacity.

Mr Lawrence said when he started looking for a second studio he wanted something locals would not have to travel far to access and Karalee was the perfect fit.

“Karalee Shopping Village sits right alongside the highway, making this the perfect spot for locals to pop in before or after work,” he said.

“This year a lot of people have had to slow down and start taking time for themselves, which includes making the commitment to get healthy.

“At the same time, many people remain time poor, and that’s where F45 is different to other gyms. We focus on 45 minute group fitness sessions focused on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and circuits, with the aim of training smarter, not longer.

“A lot of people are also craving a bit of social connection – and a lot of people are able to find that at the gym.

“F45 is about more than just fitness, it’s about being part of a community. The most important aspect of F45, and what I want to build at the Karalee studio, is a sense of belonging.”

Located adjacent to the Medical Centre, the F45 studio is expected to open in March 2021.

Consolidated Properties Group’s National Retail Leasing Manager, Rob Clifton, said F45 would be a welcome addition to Karalee Shopping Village.

“Having a gym in the shopping village makes it easier for people to fit exercise in to their daily routines. They can stop in to the gym, then pick up their groceries, or meet a friend for coffee, all in the one location,” he said.

Karalee Shopping Village has undergone an $80 million refurbishment, adding 15 new stores including a Coles, a new fresh look and increased dining options, families can now visit Karalee Shopping Village for all their shopping needs.
