O’Rorke confirms sale of The Boathouse, Salt Village in Kingscliff NSW

Consolidated Properties Group Executive Chairman, Don O’Rorke, has confirmed the sale of The Boathouse at Salt Village in Kingscliff, New South Wales following a successful sales process conducted by Tony Holland from McGrath Real Estate Agents.

Salt Village is located along the Tweed Coast at South Kingscliff in New South Wales, positioned south of the Queensland border 20 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.

The Boathouse and boat ramp are on 814m2 of land with direct access to Cudgen Creek and adjoining public reserve. The property is tranquil with rural and coastal views and is a comfortable five-minute walk to Salt Beach, local cafes and nearby hotel. The villages of Kingscliff and Cabarita are a short five-minute drive away and further afield, the M1 Highway allows easy transit to the Gold Coast being just 20 minutes away.

Originally purchased approximately seven years ago, the O’Rorke family enjoyed the Boathouse facilities for their leisure activities, typically housing canoes and paddleboards. The family no longer used it and for this reason elected to sell the property.

The sales campaign was conducted through Tony Holland. Several bidders expressed an interest in the property including Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School located at Tweed Heads and Terranora, New South Wales. Although not the highest bidder, the family was eager to sell their treasured Boathouse to the school as a legacy to be enjoyed by many children of the local community. The school plans to use it for their student’s water sports activities and Marine Studies.

Don O’Rorke, said “We are pleased to sell the Boathouse to Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School because it is very important to us that this property continues to be enjoyed into the future. This is the best possible outcome as many children will have the chance to benefit”.

The Chair of Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School Council Mr Chris Goldstone said “The School is grateful to Don O’Rorke and family for the opportunity to secure this world class facility for generations to come, further enhancing the learning opportunities available to students at Lindisfarne”.

The transaction settled last week.
