Pavilions Palm Beach packs a punch with F45 official opening

Fitness franchise F45 will this week open the doors to its newest studio at Pavilions Palm Beach shopping centre, giving gym buffs a convenient location to get active.

The Palm Beach studio will be owned and operated by Paige and PJ Johnson, who are also responsible for the popular Currumbin F45 studio, which has grown from 40 to 250 members in just over a year.

The couple say they scouted the southern Gold Coast for a second venue, and Pavilions Palm Beach proved the perfect fit.

“We really wanted a convenient, central location that was easily accessible, so when the opportunity became available at Pavilions Palm Beach we jumped on it,” Mrs Johnson said.

“Having a studio in a shopping centre is ideal, because people often find it easier to fit their workout in with doing their shopping and other errands. It is simpler to prioritise exercise if it is part of a regular weekly routine.

“We have taken up 235sqm which has ample room for all the new equipment we have ordered for the studio, with enough space for a full group session without feeling cramped.

“We know there is a fitness culture in Palm Beach, with lots of people out and about at the beach and in parks, so this is an opportunity for them to try something new or take their exercise regime to the next level.”

Mrs Johnson says F45 caters to all fitness types, with a fun, friendly and effective approach to exercise.

She says the studio offers 45 minute group fitness sessions focused on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and circuits, with the aim of training smarter, not longer.

“PJ and I started our journey with F45 a few years ago. We have really embraced the philosophy that you don’t have to spend hours in the gym to get fit, with shorter, high intensity workouts often delivering better results,” she said.

“A lot of people are too time poor to complete a lengthy fitness program, but most people can find 45 minutes in their day to put themselves and their health first.

“We took ownership of our Currumbin studio in 2017 and we have seen membership skyrocket in just over a year, and we are confident Palm Beach will be just as popular.”

Pavilions Palm Beach is nearing the finish line of a major expansion undertaken by owners Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners , which has  already resulted in the opening of a  3,700sqm Coles Supermarket in July this year.

Consolidated Properties Group Head of Retail Kieran Cox says Pavilions Palm Beach has become a health, beauty and fitness hub.

“In addition to F45 we have Elite Supplements, Modern Nail and Beauty, Maestro Massage and  Recovery and Gold Coast Dental Haus joining us in the new stage of Pavilions Palm Beach,” he said.

“We are now just a few weeks away from completing our expansion and renovations, meaning shoppers will soon be able to visit Pavilions for Coles and 29 specialty stores, all easily accessible with 260 carparks, under one roof.”

The redevelopment of the shopping centre is expected to be complete in late November this year, with limited specialty retail tenancies remaining.
