Pavilions Shopping Centre now home to new school of movement

The Pavilions Palm Beach shopping centre in Palm Beach has put up the ‘full house’ sign over its health and lifestyle precinct after the recent opening of on a unique yoga studio blending eight body modalities into one workout to its line-up.

The centre, owned by Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners, had eight tenancies in its fully-leased health and lifestyle precinct which spanned a total of 1250sq m.

They included Pavilions Medical and Skin Centre, Gold Coast Dental Haus, F45 and Palm Beach Pharmacy.

Flow St8 Studios spokesman Dave Nelson said Palm Beach was its second location after the Sunshine Coast.

He said he came up with the concept of mixing eight different schools of movement into one workout – called mixed modality training – at the height of the covid-19 pandemic when he was thinking of different exercise regimes.

“It is a perfectly balanced workout where you start with four minutes of breathwork, move into 10 minutes of yoga, then 10 minutes of mobility, 10 minutes of sports conditioning, 20 minutes of strength training, and finish with five minutes of meditation,” he said.

Flow St8 Studios has signed a seven-year lease with options for a 175sq m tenancy at Pavilions.

Mr Nelson said Palm Beach and Pavilions was the ideal location for its second studio.

““It has a good balance of cool trendy venues, bars, cafes and restaurants but it also has that beautiful beach holistic feel,” he said.

“Pavilions itself gets a lot of traffic – it’s the centre of the Palm Beach hub. It’s great for customers because they can come and train with us and have a coffee afterwards, get what they need from the supermarket or visit the nearby beach. It’s all here.”

He said the studio opened on Monday (August 8) but already had a strong response from the community.

“People have responded so well to us. We have had an overwhelming level of interest, signups and emails.”

Consolidated Properties Group National Manager Retail Leasing Rob Clifton said customers have embraced the health and lifestyle precinct at Pavilions Shopping Centre.

“This precinct has some of the best offerings in Palm Beach across the health and lifestyle space,” he said.

“Flow St8 Studios brings something different to the area that people haven’t experienced before and has already been well received by the community.

“We’re looking forward to Flow St8 Studios becoming a firm favourite and fixture of Pavilions Palm Beach.”

Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners jointly acquired Pavilions Palm Beach in December 2017 and commenced a multi-million-dollar refurbishment project, which included a brand-new full-line Coles supermarket and a number of specialty tenants.

The new tenant line up comes as CPG and CVS launch a sale campaign for its jointly-owned five neighbourhood shopping centres in southeast Queensland, comprised of Pavilions Palm Beach, Wilsonton Shopping Centre, Arndale Shopping Centre, Great Western Super Centre in Keperra and Karalee Shopping Village.
