Consolidated Properties Group has successfully delivered multiple social housing projects under the Queensland State Government’s Housing Construction Jobs Program (HCJP). The Program was initiated to address the need for additional social and affordable housing supply based on the identified population growth and demand across the state, which informed a key component of the Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027. 

The sites were purchased with existing Development Application permits originally targeted towards the private residential market. CPG identified an opportunity to redesign the existing DA plans to produce a new standard of social housing product which would be fit for the private residential market. The team were able to achieve a mix of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments (suitable for Social Housing purposes), utilise design and construction efficiencies to achieve value for money outcomes while ensuring Department of Housing LHDG Gold Level standards were achieved.
