Yeerongpilly Green Riverside Retail Centre Gets Greenlight

Brisbane’s ‘Yeerongpilly Green Riverside’ – a joint venture between Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners – has received Development Approval for its village heart and retail centre.

Boasting a full retail offering, including a full-line Woolworths Supermarket, dining precinct, specialty stores, commercial offices and a range of health and wellness providers, the 8,850sqm village heart will be the centrepiece of the $850 million Yeerongpilly Green Riverside community.

Consolidated Properties Group Head of Retail Kieran Cox said works are targeted to commence in Q3 this year, with construction expected to take about 17 months.

He said residents in Yeerongpilly Green’s first stage of apartments and terrace homes along with those in the surrounding suburbs, would be among the first to experience south-west Brisbane’s newest retail destination.

“We are working to deliver what we believe will be a game-changing project designed by BVN Architects and characterised by landmark contemporary design. The vision is to give locals and the broader Brisbane community a unique riverside retail destination without having to venture into the City or further afield,” he said.

“We are already in negotiations with a number of well-known food and beverage operators who are interested in working with us to create bespoke dining experiences nestled alongside the heritage buildings of Yeerongpilly Green.

“There’s also work underway to secure tenants for the village’s medical, allied health and wellness precinct, which is expected to include a general practice, pharmacy and large fitness centre.”

“With Yeerongpilly Train Station at the centre’s doorstep, along with extensive on-site retail amenity, the village presents an excellent opportunity for businesses looking for a prime location set within an established residential precinct that will continue to grow to 1200 residences over the coming years,” he said.

CVS Lane Capital Partners is Finance Adviser to the project.

CVS Lane Capital Partners Director Lee Centra said the retail centre will set a new benchmark as a true riverside destination, drawing visitors, customers and residents from both the surrounding suburbs and greater Brisbane.

“The local community has been waiting for a new retail centre and dining precinct, and we’re thrilled to be able to move forward following Development Approval.

“We are expecting this precinct will generate up to 120 full time equivalent jobs during construction, and hundreds of ongoing positions with restaurants and retailers,” he said.
